JobStreet Education Eyes Increasingly Important Role

KUALA LUMPUR May 16 (Bernama) -- JobStreet Education, an online education portal for working adults has partnered with 12 local and international education and training providers and enrolled over 500 Malaysians to take part in its programmes.

JobStreet Education general manager Lautaro Fernandez, said this was in line with its mission to help Malaysians find the right training to help them achieve their career goals.

"In our experience, the Malaysian workforce is motivated to embark on education and upskilling programmes. They see the importance of taking control of their careers and investing in professional development," he said in a statement.

The portal celebrates its first anniversary this month.

On its future plans, Fernandez reckoned that JobStreet Education would play an increasingly important role in providing courses across more industries and giving Malaysians the best education choices and career advice possible.

It achieved a milestone last March when it obtained a certification as a Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) trainer enabling employers registered with HRDF to apply for training grants for any programme offered by JobStreet Education.

The online education portal currently offers qualifications in information technology, project management, business, supply chain planning, education, hospitality, and marketing.
