California´s HireRight achieves ISO certification in APAC

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 (Bernama) – HireRight, an employment screening solutions provider, has achieved the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 27001:2013 certification in Asia Pacific (APAC).

President and Chief Executive Officer of HireRight, Guy Abramo said: “We wanted to assure clients and candidates that their data is being handled in accordance with established standards.
“Having undergone an in-depth review over the last twelve months, with the HireRight team assisting the ISO implementation assessors every step of the way, we’re delighted that our commitment to security and compliance has been recognised,” Abramo added.
The US-based company said in a statement the certification provides independent assurance that its data security has been audited in accordance with internationally accepted standards.
ISO 27001:2013 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system.
It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the company.
All relevant legislative statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements, along with HireRight’s approach to meet these requirements were explicitly identified, documented and kept up to date throughout the process.
Being certified in APAC also ensures that HireRight complies with all of the requirements including market-specific regulations. Along with APAC, HireRight in  Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) has also attained the certification.
HireRight is headquartered in Irvine, California, with offices around the globe, including regional headquarters in Mexico City, London and Singapore. More details at www.hireright.com
