KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 -- GungHo Online Entertainment Inc has announced Nero of Devil May Cry series fame will be the latest addition to the already amazing cast of icons from the Capcom universe.
Nero will join nine other heroes, including the likes of Street Fighter series’ Ryu and Chun-Li, Darkstalkers series’ Morrigan and Devil May Cry series’ Dante.
Nero and a new TEPPEN card set expansion will be released in November, according to a statement.
Taking place on Dec 21, worldwide players will compete for their share of a 50 million yen (approximately US$500,000) prize pool for the TEPPEN World Championship. (US$1 =RM4.19)
Players can earn their spot at the event through online qualifiers, with registration opening on Oct 2. The preliminaries will be separated into four regions, namely, Japan, North America, Europe and Asia.
After the qualifying rounds, the top three players from each region will compete to become the TEPPEN World Champion.
In addition to TEPPEN news, GungHo will celebrate the game’s meteoric rise to three million downloads by giving back to the fans from Sept 20 to 29, whereby players can earn one ‘DAY OF NIGHTMARES’ Pack Ticket per day.
