BRISBANE, Australia, June 3 (Bernama) -- Rhinitis is a global problem[1]. It is estimated that non allergic nasal congestion and obstruction affects more than 200 million people worldwide. Allergic rhinitis is more common affecting an estimated 10% - 30% of the world population. It is difficult to manage and associated with decreased quality of life. Decongestants are effective in the control of nasal congestion, but their use is restricted by their side effects.
There is a need for natural therapies that are well tolerated and effective in relieving nasal congestion.
