KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- We were appalled by an event last week that was reported in the Star, July 31st 2015, on the partial destruction of a heritage monument. Such destruction without regards to our inheritance exhibits further threats to our built heritage. The statement by the City Mayor, as reported, on there is no intention to declare the monument as a heritage site is a sad revelation on the City Council’s responsibility to preserve what’s left of our built heritage.
