KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- Global credit rating agency AM Best has appointed Rob Curtis as managing director of market development for the Asia-Pacific region, effective July 1, 2022.
Curtis, who has 34 years of experience working in the insurance and reinsurance markets, is based in Singapore and reports to Andrea Keenan, the executive vice-president and chief strategy officer.
“We are excited to have Rob join our teams in Asia given his extensive experience in those markets. Together, we look forward to developing AM Best’s profile further in major Asia-Pacific markets,” said Keenan in a statement.
Prior to joining AM Best, Curtis was the head of major groups and technical expert teams at Hong Kong’s Insurance Authority (IA), responsible for the development of Hong Kong’s new group-wide supervision and macro-prudential frameworks.
He holds advanced degrees in the areas of financial services and management and will also serve as co-chief executive officer of A.M. Best Asia-Pacific (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
