KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 (Bernama) -- The Yunnan Provincial government is organising the 1st Yunnan International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (YIIEC) to attract global talents and companies to the Yunnan Province, the People’s Republic of China.
Held by the Yunnan Association for International Science and Technology Cooperation, the competition offers funding of up to 400,000 RMB (100 RMB = RM65.83), according to a statement.
The competition is jointly organised by the Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Department, Yunnan Provincial Education Department, Foreign Affairs Office of People's Government of Yunnan Province, and Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and other relevant departments.
Apart from the funding reward, the government is also providing a series of policy support, including financing, land, office, industry resources, human resources and work permits.
Designed as a competition platform with practical incubation benefits for international innovators and entrepreneurs, the YIIEC is open to projects from industries such as bio-medicine, new energy resources, green and environmental protection, as well as cultural tourism and healthcare, among others.
According to the organisers, the preliminary and final rounds, conducted both online and offline, will be held in Kunming, China, while the main competition area is in Yunnan.
They added that international teams can present their projects and ideas online.
Participation is free of charge, and those who wish to take part may register online via YIIEC’s official website, www.yiiec.com/en/ before the Aug 5, 2022 deadline.
