KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 (Bernama) -- Cloud and software analytics solutions provider for electric and autonomous vehicles Wejo Group Ltd has joined a consortium that promotes collaboration and innovation for mobility services in Japan.
As part of the MONET consortium, Wejo will have the opportunity to work with companies selected from the hundreds of diverse and industry-leading members to drive forward mobility innovation and the mobility-as-a-service market, a statement from Wejo said.
With the anticipated growth of mobility-as-a-service offerings in Japan, Wejo sees the potential for a nearly US$3 billion market by 2030 for its Smart Mobility for Good products and services, Wejo founder and chief executive officer Richard Barlow said.
“We’re honoured to be a part of the MONET consortium and to be part of the conversations that will help accelerate mobility innovation in Japan,” he said.
Bringing its groundbreaking solutions to the table, Wejo will provide perspectives and ideas to the collective conversation while extending its influence in Japan, the statement said.
Its role in the consortium is to offer its expertise for the betterment of the mobility ecosystem and in return, Wejo hopes to draw valuable insights from fellow member companies to craft a more holistic suite of data analytics products to better address the needs of potential customers.
