KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 (Bernama) -- SEIBU RAILWAY Co Ltd has introduced its new limited express train, ‘Laview’, designed by world-renowned architect Kazuyo Sejima.
Seibu Railway has kept coming up with innovations, including the Seibu Traveling Restaurant and ‘40,000 Series’ commuter train fitted with a ‘Partner Zone’ for passenger comfort.
The most attractive feature of the ‘never seen before train car’ (Laview) is its rounded front end while its windshield is made of three-dimensional curved glass with a curvature radius of 1,500mm. The cabin windows are furnished with large window panes, enabling passengers to enjoy the passing scenery.
The train’s exterior colour uses new aluminium paint to blend gently into the landscape in the city and nature, while the interior is based on a warm yellow colour combination that creates a soft living room-like ambience.
Each seat is equipped with electrical outlets and ‘SEIBU FREE Wi-Fi’ in each coach. The train also provides onboard video screens displaying information in Japanese, English, Korean and Mandarin.
Seibu Railway is a core company of the Seibu Group which is mainly engaged in urban transportation/businesses along railway line and hotel/leisure/real estate businesses. For more information, contact https://www.seiburailway.jp.
