KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6 -- Twenty university/college students from Singapore are scheduled to visit Japan from Dec 9 to 17, as part of the Japan’s Friendship Ties Programs, ‘JENESYS 2019’ promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
They will visit Tokyo and Miyagi to experience international programme under the theme of ‘Science and Technology Exchange’, according to a statement.
In Tokyo, the students will visit Japan Science and Technology Agency, Olympas OLYMPUS museum and Tokyo University, Kashiwa Campus to learn sustainable initiatives of Japan in the field of Science and Technology.
In addition, they will visit Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, Kakuta Space Center which leads research and development of rocket engines to observe the site of advanced technology.
The programme aims to strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and Singapore, with the participants proactively sharing the appeal and science technology of Japan, which they experienced in Japan after returning to home country.
